Sam J - Class of 2016
Taking Sam's senior portraits was such a pleasure. From our consultation we knew that she and her mom preferred a natural approach to posing and editing and we definitely took that to heart. Our day was eventful! We started out with patchy, bright sun, with a very light sprinkle here and there. As we moved into the barn for our second outfit I could hear the rain. It let up just before we were headed back out, thankfully, so we were able to capture some lovely images. By this point the cloud cover was pretty solid. As we were wrapping up this segment and getting ready to move into our last, we started hearing thunder. We were ready to push through, no matter what! After Sam changed into her track outfit and got her medals together, the wind just hit us hard and here came the rain! With Tony holding the umbrella over my head, I had Sam step just a few feet behind our cars. Still all smiles, as she had been this entire time, she stood there in the wind and the rain like a champ. Then I asked her to drop into runners stance and she gave me the most intense look! I LOVED IT!!! I could really see determination in her eyes that has made her the champion athlete she is.
